The nice thing about Florida is the growing point usually remains in great condition long after the corm rots outs completely but the sooner it gets cleaned up the sooner it can get back to growing.
The main thing is to figure out a suitable substrate that works well in your conditions and once you get to that point it'll become easy. I'm hoping you get it figured out with this next Florida so when I ship some to other members they can learn from you.
