Default New to bananas

Hello all banana people, this is my first year to grow bananas i have about 9 most diffrent types they are all doing really well and all in containers, The first thing i need advise on is over wintering i plan to bring all the pots into my conservatry for the wintet do i leave all the leaves on or cut back i plan to let them go dormant just keeping damp, is this ok? I live in the united kingdom and our winters are really mild no snow for two years and only a handful of frosts but we could get caught out and have a bad winter out the blue, i have two houses around where i live that have bajoo bananas growing outside and they been out for years they now as tall as the houses and no protection over winter, any help or advice or tips would be lovely.
