Quick update : I took a look at the new uncurling leaf yesterday morning and couldnt see any variegation......looked this morning after its pushed another inch out and its still there
Not quite and strong as the previous leaf but still there.
Interesting the red is much more prominent than the white on this leaf.
Seems I could end up with a red variegated basjoo...not quite what I was hoping for since then it would just be like a siki
