Bananas Brindando hey from nassau bahamas

hello, i just joined the forum. I've had sugar bananas or Bahamian sweet bananas for two years and only once got 1 to produced one had before. But yesterday i cut alkl of them back . i read somewher cutting them back allows them to grow again then flower. I dont know true it is but i'll give it a shot. What ferts do u guys use on your bannas. i;m more of an homemade fertilizer and compost tea guy but i'm thinking miracle gro. I also hope to swap if its legal suckers and seeds.thanx guys.
