Mock Ice Cream
I saw something like this on the Rachel Ray Show. :birthdaynana:This is a tasty recipe that uses the banana as the base (sorta like vanilla ice cream).

Re: DIY Rain Barrels
We had to clean my mom's pond out a couple of years ago to redo it and had a similar problem with getting rid of the water. What we ended up doing was was using the pond pump to get rid of the rest...

I think what I thought were Super Dwarf Cavendish might actually be Zerbinas. I went back to the garden store where I purchased the plants last year and found some plants that have the pictures on...

Re: DIY Rain Barrels
After using the rain barrell with the faucet, I recommend to lift it up a little off the ground, to increase water pressure. It works well, but if the rain barrell is at ground level, than it might...

Re: Need advice on building a small pond.
We have both an inground and above ground ponds. The inground originally started with a formed pond liner. It was simple to set up, once we had the hole dug. We later took out the pond form and...

Re: a good soil for bananas
I was about to do a post on soil additives, I saw your post. So thanks. Just one question, is most humus made out of cow manure?

The spider I saw looked nothing like those spiders, nor was it anywhere close to size.
I've also seen the pictures of the Green Lynx Spider, and it's about the same green, but did not have...

Tiny Green Spider
I found a tiny green spider that came in on my banana plant (I think). The size of it was probably no more than the width of a small pinky. It can jump really high for it's size, and pretty fast too....

Thanks for helping. I do have more pics.
For my major plants I don't go to box stores. I actually went to a local nursery that has a pretty good reputation. The bananas were a little wind swept...

Is this a Dwarf Cavendish?
I bought these today at a plant store, but they did not have any labels. The leaves are probably about 1-1 1/2 feet long. From the ground up they are about 2 feet. One has a pup that is about 3-4"...

Re: Hello from a Beginner Gardener
You might try and add in calcium to your garden. Also, make sure to water on a consistent basis. This should help with rotting, if you have root rot. Very common on squash (learned that my first...
