This is different. It seems the ladies at my local Thai/Sushi love the banana flower.
Apparently you can cut it super thin and use it to make a salad. So now those go to them.
Just another idea...

Think about your plantations you'll be growing by next year! That Qatar rock is just to tough to grow anything in. Good to have the pots and some good soil.

I would find a place in your home for the winter.
The plant will show growth once the new roots are established. And the cold nights won't help a bit.
So yes, I would move it inside and monitor...

Absolutely!
Freezing temps will ruin your bananas.
I was kinda thinking someone from the Northern states would help out on this one.
We rarely see frost. But last winter, all my leaves turned...

You are correct, commercial growers take the bananas when they are green. And you will have to do the same. If you take them now, you will be taking all peeling. The plants leaves needs the sun...

We had a super harsh winter last year. When the coldest moved in, I cleaned out my closet of old clothes and a few blankets.
Your bananas will take about 5-7 months to ripen on the vine. No way...

Been there...done that... We brought a few palms in from Diego Garcia and the dry air ruined them. We were at Camp Andy....hard to keep tropical plants growing in that brick...

When the flower emerges then turns down, it's usually only a couple of days till you see the first bananas. If you look super closely, you may actually see them now :)

Got my Dwarf Brazilians from Rmplmnz. Him and I both have the Tall versions too. My DBs hit about 14-15' to the top of the tallest leaf. And the trunk is a solid 12 inches thick.

I get the mites on my Elephant Ears. For some reason, none on the nanners.
Everyday I give the leaves a straight-stream spray down with the hose. That may be the saving key.
