Who's growing Mazano?
Got some tonight at the supermarket, $0.99/lb.
I like it!Will try to add it to my yard soon. I haven't seen the plant at any local nursery. |

And my pups 'r bigger than Worm's is. One seven ft and three 3 ft tall pups are gonna be dug out soon to clean up the mat. Oh yeah, the big one bloomed last month and the fruit are plumping up. Dan Last edited by bananimal : 10-07-2010 at 12:35 PM. Reason: add fruit mention |

Re: Who's growing Mazano?
Me too - if "Mexican Apple" is just a synonym for "Manzano". The Wiki says that 'Hardy Mexican Apple Banana' has been a synonym for "California Gold" - so maybe I can still hope for the best...

Re: Who's growing Mazano?
Do you all prop your Manzano bunches? I am currently because it is my first banana to fruit, but if I'd rather not if it isn't necessary.

Re: Who's growing Mazano?
Those are about the tastiest I've ever ate. I hope to find a Manzano pup next spring. Did I read somewhere that the Dwarf Brazilian is very similar in taste?
