Yes tried dry storage with the Cavendish as I did with the Maurellis. The ones from the nursery are Musa Basjoo so I have quite a few now.

Sorry for the late reply. The Maurelli bananas that I overwintered in the garage and are doing great back in the ground. I tried the Cavendish but they did not survive so I guess that answers my...

I'm in southern Canada considered zone 7 so I'm not sure if they would survive winter even with a heavy mulch.
I have 3 so maybe I'll try different ways. Leave one with mulch and store the other...

So back in the spring I purchased these bananas from Lowes and through this site it was determined they were Cavendish. Now about 3 months later they are huge! Has anyone tried overwintering this...

Do you think they would survive just using canada post ? I have ordered some plants from out east that did make it here alive. Or if there is a purlator or fed ex near you? Alot of bother for you so...

Yes of the 3 I bought 1 has that staining on the leaves. On the others there is some on the stem but not the leaves as in these pics. Because they were bought together I imagine they are some type of...

Bummer was hoping they were musa basjoo. I dont think they are dwarf cavendish as I have one and it grows much slower then these which are growing very fast. Also the leaves are longer on these...
