does anyone know of any agricultural regulations in the USA pertaining Musa importation? Can a fruit crop genus be imported?

What i usually do is to get a phytosanitary cert issued and plants...

yup. thats some pesky bamboo in a friends back garden. the pup that was separated in the pics went to me, along with 3 other fat ones. they start really robust and tall. have a pic of the flower.......

perhaps those are large pieces of fired clay. the mixture i use has components of that, peat, and large grained river sand.

if you're talking abt the orange bits, thats osmocote slow release...

nope. no seeds at all as mine are too young. i'll visit my friends big clump (the one in the pic) soon and hunt for seeds... these musa dont like strong sun and get burnt. the like it shaded and...
