The pups you let grow over winter, what are their conditions ( light, heat, etc.)
and how much growth do you expect before spring?

I am in zone 7 and would like to overwinter in containers for early May planting.

Since I plan to leave most plants in ground year round, basjoo would seem to be a logical choice.

I am not looking for total privacy, I was thinking that the fall pups would be at one size, the awakened hibernating older plants, and the in-ground would be at all different...

I am in Zone 7

I would like a privacy screen near patio/pool of multi height Banana plants.
The tallest need to be AT LEAST 8 feet by mid June ( LEAF HEIGHT ).
I would like the pstems to max out...

Thanks, I thought the only advantage to TC was that it was a clone of the mother plant. Is there more than meets the eye ?

Surfing the web and came across a QVC Gran Nain growing in a container.

Plants are in a pot that appears to be about 18 inches tall, on a dolly, and their total height including leaves are maybe 6...
