Default New Jersey Newbie

I was doing a google search for cold tolerant palms, someone mentioned bananas so I extended my search and found this website.

Zone 7, so not sure what to expect from bananas, but I am here to learn.

Basjoo cana give you a great plant (hardy out of doors). Sikkimensis is a possibility - could others on here who grow the S, tell us their experience? I have 7 of them waiting to go out (actualaly 5 out, save two in case lose everything outside.
Note: Basjoo hate wet feet or even semi-wet, or maybe even semi-dry. It took us years to find the proper spots for them and I would call them dry - top of mounds where winter water will not run onto them - just run off.

Thanks for that tip, I was hoping that was not the case since I wanted a privacy screen in a low spot
