Hard to see the detail but they look like ladybugs to me. Just observe...if they are ladybugs you'll see them eat aphids one after another. Looks like evidence of eaten aphids on that leaf.

Just any wood for the biochar? We have a lot of punky wood we need to burn and it's easy to make a huge bed of coals.

Thanks for the tips. Will try my local feed store and also crushing the lava rock. Our mini backhoe ought to do the trick nicely.:ha:

Yes 2/3 hermaphrodite, 1/3 female. Any males signal unwanted cross-pollination with another variety...at least that's my understanding. I would only ship quantities of 10 seeds or more so no...

Nope. Hubby once had to deal with a dead fawn on a vacant lot we had. We're in town. He called the city, fish and wildlife etc. and they told him to put it into the garbage can. That garbage can...
