Default Does this look like a Gros Michel?

I received this plant in August of 2013 from Florida Hills Nursery. I ordered Musa Gros Michel Heirloom and the plant is finally blooming. If it is not a Gros Michel what do you think it is. I hope I can get an ID for this plant.
Thanks for all your help Susan

Looks correct so far, but to be 100% sure keep posting photos as it develops and make sure to keep the male bud intact and growing on the bunch, this is particularly useful for ID'ing Gros Michel cultivars as there is almost always a very distinct bend in the rachis that develops.

When I got home yesterday my neighbor had cut the male bud off my plant. This is the last picture I got before it was cut.

Well it looks like the rachis was staring to bend when it was cut, so that's good. Try to post some photos of the base of the plant, preferably with and without an outer pseudostem sheath removed.

I hope the neighbor ate and loved it. I tried steaming the flower from what I believe is a Raja Puri; it's in the compost bin now.

I was just out watering and found both buds she cut off. Now I'm mad. She didn't even eat them. She must think if the buds are not removed the bananas will not fill in. She probably believes she is helping me by cutting the buds. I hope she gets home today. I hope this doesn't happen again.

Susan

Wow. People!! I would never even think of cutting something off a neighbor's plant like that. I would explain to them what I thought and why, but to just cut it? Wow... I hope for your sake it is a GM. It's very difficult to get one without growing your own.

Varieties I supposedly bought: Manzano, Cavendish, Blue Java, Sweetheart, and Gros Michel.
What it seems I actually have: Brazilian, Cavendish, Namwah, Dwarf Red, Gros Michel, Pisang Ceylon, Veinte Cohol and SH 3640, and American Goldfinger. FHIA 1, Paggi and FHIA 17... Always room for one more.

Is this picture okay? The first three pictures are of the plant that is blooming both sides.

Any updates? Gros Michele I've got on my list. Hoping to get one eventually. Fell in love with the idea that it was "The" commercial banana AND tastes better than what I grew up eating. Can't wait to try one.
Would love to hear how yours is doing.
