 I would like to go with the led lights.  I do have all the lights  but  i prefer and my favorite is the leds. I am using it from long time and still it is giving me good results.

 The grow of banana depends upon the kind of soil and setup you have. I recommend to go with  a test of the soil first and than go for the grow and find the most suitable one.

 If i would be growing the banana than i would have chosen the bigger container as possible as the banana plants get bigger as they grow and need more space than the other plants.

 At colorado i find only two options. Either contact a local gardener for the outdoor grow or go for an indoor grow and purchase ever material online for the indoor hydroponics kind of a setup.

 I do not think it will harm your plants. Generally each and everyone have the grow light on at night. The most important thing in the spring is to gradually move plants back to the sun outside.

 I think the lights you have is not enough for the grow and you need to have more lights here.the wattage and the intensity is quite right you just need to increase the number o flights.

 I think running the grow lights for 18 hours a day is too much you can save the lights and electricity by keeping the lights off during the day as  sunlight will be available during that time.
