Default Won't grow tall

5 years ago when I bought my hourse the banana plants were 8-10 foot tall and produced fruit. Since then I am lucky to get 3-4 foot tall plants. I knew nothing about banana plants then but I am hooked and determined to figure this out. I have researched fertilizer and watering schedules with no success in plant height. Any help would be appreciated. Had a member ID them as group ABB or AAB? Not sure if that helps.

They could have a nutrient deficiency of some sort.

I have added a miracle grow product with nitrogen and PH lowering nutrients recently. I am afraid that I have too many plants in one are and am not sure which ones to take out. Trying to figure difference between water and sword suckers.

They might be dying back each winter, which is normal for your zone. If that's the case, you can try protecting them next winter to save the stem height.

Here are a few more pics, also on the other side of the yard by my palm tree there is a plant that is already 5 foot tall. Not sure what is going on. What kind of plants do they look like to you.

That is quite a good thing that the banana plants are about 8 to 10 fits long. Generally i have seen that the banana plants are about 4 to 5 fits long. So i think that your banana plants might be much more productive.
