Banana cut to above the soil line
I have here a banana (unknown dwarf) that has been cut down to about an inch above the soil line sitting in a container. I know the plant has never bloomed or produced fruit. Will it die or...

Re: Passiflora
No seeds unfortunately. I planted a bunch and passed on the rest to a nice lady in TX. I'll check out that ebay site again - that's who I got my edulis mix from.

Re: Passiflora
Nice! I'm starting some from seeds - Cotton leaf, edulis mix, and some noids. So far two noids and two edulis have popped up so far. More are starting to emerge, no cotton leaf yet.
I am browsing for...

Re: Passiflora
Tony I really like the bloom on #526 (http://www.bananas.org/f8/passiflora-12826-27.html#post173739). How many Passifloras do you have?

Re: Banana fuel
I'm a wee bit disappointed. We managed to find one jelly before a large amount of dogs landed on the sand. (My son is scared of dogs.) We will going back out next weekend so hopefully we'll have a...

Re: Best naner soil?
Good on the sand because I don't like using it or buying it on a regular basis. My son tends to steal the bags and use his CAT trucks to dig in them.
Can I add bark? I have a lot to use up.

Darkman - they really do. You can see them every where, even in containers. I'd like to learn how to propagate one because someone donated one to my Dad's work.

Re: Banana fuel
I have a beach combing book that says washed up jellyfish make really good fertilizer. Lately our beaches have been loaded with jellyfish and jelly bits so I might collect some tomorrow.

Re: Best naner soil?
I have a few questions. I went to repot my Bananas and found my favorite potting soil was left outside. Long story short I now have a gnat nursery in that bag. I have an emergency soil mix made up...

Thanks for the welcomes everyone :) I'm sure growing in Washington is going to be challenging and fun. I've been told that here they might not get as big as in the warmer locations and I'm fine with...

I plan to...
