Hey Steven I'd go with that they are dry and take your chances. At the worst you will only get better @ germinating difficult seeds.. Then its all down hill. :^)

Just be careful of roots. I'm sure it'll be just fine. Also, now that there's no leaves, you can keep it in the sun instead of shade.

plants that do well in my yard are orinco california gold rajapuru apple ice cream goldfinger. these are the bananas that grow best for me.

I wouldn't go with a DC personally the leaves are so wide and you really have to have alot of room for one versus an Ice cream... A dbl is the same as a DC w/ two heads after 2 years basically. SDC...

Hard choice for zone 7. Cavendish are very cold sensitive variety. I would go for Orinocos or Raja Puri. Good luck anyway:bananas_b

I agree, more light is a must, but also make sure your soil is well draining...u do not want the soil to remain wet or damp at all!

Yeah light is critical and not much water. If the mother isn't big getting the pot off the floor to a higher temp zone (heat rizes) in the room doesn't hurt either. Good Luck :^)
