I don't think I've ever had a Cavendish on my property. I have had Basjoos, so that's a possibility. I'll keep you guys posted with pix, and you experts can settle the question as it develops...

OK, I'll bite. Does overwintering increase or decrease the number of leaves before blooming? It is not obvious to me, since stress has been known to trigger "premature" blooming.

I am going to try something this year that is similar in concept to the "walls of water" people use to start their tomatoes early.

The plan is to use several pieces of 1" pvc pipe stood on end...

I bought both dwarf and tall types from online sources last winter (at least I hope they are the right thing, they are definitely Braz. since the leaves have the right streaking), overwintered them...
