Re: Insomnia Thread...
You just reminded me of something else I have to get when I go to the post office tomorrow Jordan...a US money order for my J.L. Hudson order. By the way, I condensed that huge list!
Ok gonna get a shot of my new bonsai Jade in the cool rock pot... : ) |

Re: Insomnia Thread...
Too funny....I thought I was posting in the Insomnia thread but when I released the post I was in the All-Purpose thread! Woops.
Ok here's my new cutie pie... The pot is a rock that's been hollowed out and turned into a plant pot... I wasn't really looking for a Jade plant but this one was too adorable to resist. : ) |

Re: Insomnia Thread...
Thanks Cam...I really like how red it is too. It's so attractive and appealing looking. The pot is a real rock too and super heavy. How cool is that?
Why are the leaves so tiny though? Much smaller than my other Jade plant's leaves are. Here's the center of my Venus Flytrap plant today. It's exploding with new growth... : ) |

Re: Insomnia Thread...
Sherry I don't know why the leaves on your jade are small. Its a pretty plant though, and your venus fly traps look really healthy. I'm so glad you are sending some geranium seeds. I really like geranium blooms

Re: Insomnia Thread...
So it was you, Cameron! I knew it.
Picked up this cute Old Farmer's Almanac garden calendar the other day... Here's the inside... Cam, do you have a desk lamp? I wondered if you might want one of those plant grow bulbs I'm sending Jordan and Janan? I have some extras and thought I'd offer you one also. Let me know... : ) |

Re: Insomnia Thread...
You jade is a "baby" jade I think Sherry. They have smaller leaves than regular jade do. Other then that maybe it just is growing with smaller leaves, I can't think of any other reasons right now.
Looking forward to getting my light bulb It will help my dragon fruit Janan sent me a lot

Re: Insomnia Thread...
Sherry I only have a table lamp with a shade on my nightstand and the only thing I have growing by it is my lucky bamboo since it can tolerate more darkness. That farmer's almanac is so cool, Its been a while since I've read one

Re: Insomnia Thread...
Any luck finding them yet, Tom?
Ok so I forgot about one other person from another site that I wanted to get a box ready for...which I just finished doing. I also had forgot to put something in the box for my grandparents so I had to re-open it! What a hassle. Everything is completely ready to mail now. I have four boxes going to the US and two in Canada! Plus another envelope of seeds for Tommy that he didn't get the first time. I'm going out first thing in the morning with the load. Boy they're gonna love me tomorrow down at the P.O. Ok so Cam, I boxed up a bulb for ya, along with some seeds. Hopefully you can screw it into your desk lamp and it will help your lucky bamboo along. I'm growing peppers under mine. Janan and Jordan, there's a bulb for you guys too and a few seeds. Janan, I've included the Alpines, Marble, Hahm's Gelbe tomato...and something else I forget. Oh and the angel nightlight is in there too. I'm just gonna send everything regular post since there are no plants that have to arrive fast. They say 7-10 business days. Hope you guys enjoy everything. Ok so I just wanted to let you guys know what was happening so you wouldn't be wondering. I hope you're all having a great Wednesday. Oh yeah and I gotta remember to get the US money order so I can mail my order to J.L. Hudson tomorrow as well. : ) |

Re: Insomnia Thread...
Thanks Sherry. I've never had a grow light before. I'm sure my lucky bamboo plant will enjoy it. My room is always so dark so I can't have any plants in it. Maybe one day I will have a room with a bright window lol.

Re: Insomnia Thread...
The SunMaster bulb is no different than your fluorescent Aero-Garden bulbs Cam...except you grow the plants in soil. You're gonna love it.
You can grow one mature plant under it, or several seedlings at a time. Oh yeah Jordan and Cam...I included some mixed Cacti seeds in your boxes from this packet... It says on the packet that they're fun to sprout all year round. I couldn't resist sowing a few while I was packing them up for you two. I also included some colorful plastic plant labels for all you guys so you could stick them in the pots when you sow the seeds. Cam, I included some of my alpine strawberry seeds for you because they are such a success in my A-G...thought you might wanna give them a try too. Jordan and Janan have seeds for my Alpines as well. : ) |

Re: Insomnia Thread...
Thanks
What types of cacti are in that packet? Usually it says what ones are in it. You only supposed to be able to grow one plant under the desktop lamps? I grow all my plants under them and only have three. And why does the cacti packet say annual! I have never heard of an annual cacti before

Re: Insomnia Thread...
Thanks so much Sherry. I think I'll take my gloxinias out to make room for the geraniums and alpine strawberries. Those cactus plants look so neat I cant wait to grow those too.

Thanks Sherry!
I look forward to getting them. I might also need some advice from you once I get the alpines so I can make sure to take care of them. TOM
