![]() I planted up 42 Japanese tree peonies of several species, 3 weeks ago in pots which were purchased from Van Bourgendien. They are all 1 year grafts, and taking off pretty fast. The latest pictures in the following blog are a few days old so they are already a bit bigger & greener.
Steve's garden: 1 year old tree peonies have arrived

![]() I have the shampoo (Pine Cone Ginger) and the circular (Spiral Ginger). Both do well here and make a eye-catching speciman. I'm trying to scatter them throughout the tropical "loooking" landscape here.
I'll have to check out the peacock.

![]() That is a seedling Dwarf Cuban Papaya. At least 2 ½ months ago I planted 12 seeds I got from seed suppler . I have planted lots of Papaya in the past.. But this one tray only produced about 6 seedling's, thats a poor germination rate. BUT today I walked to the corner where I stored the hydroponic trays I used to grow them and WAMMO I got 3 more seedlings . Must been from all the rain we been having down here in South Fla! So now the germination rate is %75 ha ha just took a 5 extra weeks to get them to germinate.. Yes I had given up on them ever sprouting .. Papaya seeds don't have a real good shelf life , or at least that has been my experience with them .. These plants usually get to about 7 feet and produce plenty of two pound Papaya... Usually
