I usually freeze them in my freezer and eat them all winter long, but thanks for the suggestions because I love hot sauce, Bob.

I plan on doing more things with my peppers later - if I can get off of these gardening forums long enough to do something else!

Get away from the computer.........yeah talking to other gardeners can be addictive.........The peppers freeze well aye?..........never tried. Didn't grow any this year since I dedicated the space to bananas. The local organic farmer at the weekly farmers market takes good care of me though. I'll try some in the freezer if there's a glut of something that's interesting this fall when they come in.

They freeze great - they're just soggy when ya thaw them. With hot peppers though you don't mind, because they just go into your food. I like to cut them into rings when they're still frozen and firm. The freezing doesn't affect the heat whatsoever.

I usually have to make a separate 'hot' dish for company, because they are a bunch of hot pepper wussies! Can't take the heat. Good to know you like it hot also.

I should send ya some bhut jolokia seeds, Bob. Then talk to me about hot!

Mamma mia, now thatza spicey meatball!!!

Its sucks living with hot pepper pussies especially if you have to cook for them too! I wish they would all get off the face of this planet. JK!
I love peppers too! Oh gosh my mouth is watering just thinking about them. Better go get some jalapenos from the fridge now. Bye!

That reminds me - I am growing a cross right now. It's called "Purple Cayenne Jalapeno" because it's a blend of the two!!!...

It was supposed to be just a purple cayenne plant, but I see my friend grew her purple cayenne a little too close to her jalapeno last season, so this is what her seeds labelled 'purple cayenne' produced!

I am not complaining though, because I love cayenne as well as Jalapeno - So a blend of the two is awesome and kind of unique. Very hot though. They are for the more advanced hot pepper lover.

So you serious about wanting to grow the Bhut Jolokia, Bob? It is considered the hottest pepper in the world! You'd have to be careful with them - they don't kid around, so long as you understand. I would send ya a couple other hot pepper seed varieties too.

PM me with a mailing address, will ya?...

You know Jack, way back when you mentioned pasta that's special and fleshy....are you talking about 'rotini' - the sort of spiral pasta? Or 'penne' which is like a tube shape?...

My peppers are doing great--I have half a dozen jalapenos and some Giant Marconis and one that I don't know what it is--never had a pepper that had a fuzzy leaf--but it looks kinda like a jalapeno. I just put up a quart of jalapeno peppers today--we use about 2 gallons a yr.

I am a big fan of peppers--I really think they have protected my stomach from the medication I take--many people get ulcers from taking it. I also use them for pain and itch relief--works great.

Found 3 (not 2) big, new yellow flowers on one of my Colocasia Illustris! Took pics already and will add them to this post very soon. They're not opened up yet but I'll add another pic to the post when they are.

UPDATE : This was taken August 26, 2009.
