Thumbs up Re: What is blooming in your garden today (other plants)?

I've seen some and they're gorgeous, Howard!

Amber I got that plant as cuttings from a garden pal in Turkey, and they grew into a cool purplish plant with these totally spectacular flowers.

It's a succulent Stapelia, star flower.

Here's a better shot, Amber...

I gotta tell ya though...as beautiful as the flowers are, they don't smell very appealing at all. In fact they smell awful, but only if you put your nose right up to the bloom...which I only did once!

Tony,
What is it called? There are similar plants growing wild in the front yard of our rented home in Richland, WA, only they had yellow flowers. I thought they were weeds, but as I was spraying herbicide on the nettles and dandelions, I saw one with yellow flowers that looked like that. Pity, I had already sprayed a couple of them before I saw the flowers.

Very nice!

I don't know what it is. Grown from seed I collected somewhere. It is a beautiful flower and has a pink tint to it that doesnt show in the pic. I also thought it was a weed until it bloomed.
