Where the obsession all began...
![]() Ok, although these are bad shots, here are my very first gardens from over 6 years ago, now... : O I need to get the negatives developed so you can see the best shots (they were given to my grandmother), but these were the crappy peeks that were left. I will get the negatives developed soon. For now though, just so you can get an idea, here are my 1st gardens. Nearly everything was grown from seed, except for the red roses and the gladiolas... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Are you sure you're posting from Canada? Other than Vancouver nothing grows there, it's the frozen tundra isn't it?

Yes, the Jerusalem Cherry is very appealing to children and animals also, but they are completely and utterly POISONOUS!
It would be the last salad you would ever eat! ![]() I love those Cappuccino lilies too - so different. I have another variety opening today also. If I have time, I'll try to get a shot of it. I planted an assortment of colors. ![]() |

![]() Just did up this pot of succulent cactus cuttings and plants and put it outside by the backdoor. Among them are 'string of pearls', burro's tail, 'burrito' (baby burro's tail), jade, echeveria, and a couple others. I thought I'd show a pic... : ) ![]() |

Just a minute flower, but pretty...
Tradescantia pallida ![]() Plant dug up from my Best friend Rebecca's front yard on post before she moved to Fort Lewis, WA 3 weeks ago. She gave it to me, because it was the only this that she could grow without killing it!! LOL!! Next...my hydrangea is in full fluff!! Has a little friend crawling on it too! ![]() ![]() AND the hibiscus' this morning!!! ![]() ![]() Brings me joy as we are stripping and painting the intake manifold & headers for the truck today. Feeds a little different side of me. LOVE my plants!!! Hope y'all are having a great week-end too!! ~Cheryl

Cheryl, be careful where you plant that Tradescantia. Even if you pull them out and put a weed cover over that ground, they will still come back! XD

Good thing I have them in a contained box! My Mom always did the same thing in her herb beds with her spearmint & peppermint plants. Planted them in the coffee can...something about how it likes to inbreed, it bastardizes it. LOL, I dunno, just what i've heard. Thanks for the tip! ~Cheryl

Aerides houlletiana x sib Click on the image twice to view a larger image. In this pic only half the buds are open. It was absolutely stunning when they all opened. And the smell is the most delicious thing you have ever smelled in your life. Pic taken just a couple weeks ago. The buds have since fallen off. The three pendants now remain, the one on the left with one seed pod, the center and one on the right have two seed pods each.

![]() Those blackberry lilies are absolutely stunning! Makes me glad I sowed some seeds. Are they perennial and do they enjoy shade? I don't know much about them but they look gorgeous. Here are my blackberry lily seedlings... ![]() : ) |
