My solandra maxima bloomed sometime this winter, but unfortunately, I didnt see the actual bloom and I only saw the dried up flower (Which held up suprisingly well). I found it while I was cleaning around my bougainvillea (not an easy task with all those spines). I wish I caught my Solandra maxima while it was in bloom so I could take a picture. Maybe I'll get some blooms again this spring even though its a winter bloomer.
Their are a few other things in bloom including my Double peach hibiscus. Wish I had some pics of them to post right now. Sorry everyone! I'll find something blooming and post soon!

Sorry, Richard, Ante is living in Makarska on the Adriatic coast, a region so rich on natural beauty, that he is probably not even aware, that we ordinary folks would be thrilled to have a view like like his.
If you don't believe me, just look here: Makarska - Google Search Best, Olaf

Hi Ante,
I have been in and through Yugoslavia several times many, many moons ago, buy never made it down to the scenic route from Split to Dubrovnik. Plans are brewing though, to make it our next major trip. We would have gone there years ago, but we mostly travel to the tropics as winter getaways and for that the Mediterranean does not quite qualify. September seems to be the ideal month for us to head to the Adriatic coast. Best, Olaf

I had similar experiences with my grapes, - also no idea, what they are. I got mine from a neighbour, who got his from a friend. I needed something to cover my gazebo and that they did. My grapes are seedless quite small but very tasty and fruited the second year.
This is similar to what I have observed in newly planted vineyards in this wine growing region. They plant a small stick one year and the next year there are grapes on it. If you lay in spring a vine of your old grape flat on the ground, it will have rooted by August cut it off in September and the next year you will most likely have fruit on it. Good luck, Olaf
