Thanks HBL, but as I mentioned, these are from a stock photo collection. My camera is kaput.
BTW Vickie, I love the bicolor change in the night shots of the lily...fantastic. Glad you thought to go back and shoot at night also.

Thank you all for posting such beautiful flower photos.
I don't have any unique flowers like yours but still like to share my flower pictures with you. And trust me on this, it wasn't easy taking photos with someone else's camera this morning. Loofah Squash Flowers: Did get lots of loofah squash flowers but not enough polination to set fruit... My neighbor gave me these marigolds to thank me for helping her. I also grow some yellow ones from seed packets, but they did not bloom well and deer ate them. Not knowing deer and rabbits won't leave Morning Glories alone, this is the first time I grow them from seed packets. Here is a blue morning glory I was able to save. Looking forward to seeing more pretty photos of yours... ![]()

Vincas or Periwinkles are very common summer landscaping annuals in Georgia. They are supposed to be very deer resistant, but surprisingly a few young plants of mine also were damaged by the deer.
Here are some different colored periwinkles I'm growing this year. Some are grown from the seeds I saved, and some are from self-seeding. Although I can hardly tell the color difference from the pictures, the first photo dose show a magenta periwinkle and the last one a darker pink periwinkle. In the future, I'm planning to collect purple colored periwinkle seeds or seeds of any other colors. ![]()

I find they actually bloom better in a pot! Here's one I grew a few seasons back in a 2 gallon container and it looked like this the entire season long! The shot was taken in late October...
![]() ![]() Took this shot this morning of my Daisy Mums beginning to bloom... ![]() Of course I'll show another pic of the whole plant later when it's in full bloom... : ) |
