What is the name of that one? Most of our plants are getting eaten up very badly and home we can save them. Will have to grow them in the screenroom under lights next time around. Looking good, keep up the good work.

Passiflora phoenicia. Ruby Glow most likely. This one is not self fertile.I have been hand pollinating them with another Passion Vine. The honey bees are not large enough to do a good job of pollinating, takes a Carpenter bee to do it.

The flowers on each side go with this plant

It seems that this is a year for the critters. Caterpillars, squirrels, rats, ants, you think of it and it is here. Been busy trying to get ahead and may have done so. Even got two cats to help out. The passi vines are getting eaten by butterfly caterpillars. Not only the passis but they completely destroyed a moon flower vine. With the daily rains neem oil is out and most other deterents so I just hand pick them when I can find them. Any suggestions for the control of the caterillars

Thanks Tony, It may be something that I can do to control my pests. It will require may applications since it is the rainy season and like a few minutes ago we got a "gulley washer". We hope that the grass seed stayed in place but whatever we need the rain. If I don't then I can forget getting any fruit. I can grow in an inclosed area but that would mean hand pollinating and not sure if I have that much time to spare. Maybe?

I mixed according too the label instructions . It;s pretty stick stuff so if you can get a few hours without rain I think you'll be good to go.

Nice! I'm starting some from seeds - Cotton leaf, edulis mix, and some noids. So far two noids and two edulis have popped up so far. More are starting to emerge, no cotton leaf yet.
I am browsing for seeds or cuttings - any suggested sellers or sites?

Tony, that is a basketball backboard your P. alata is growing on, right? Is that what backboards will be used for around the US this year, with the NBA lockout? I'm relieved to find that they have another purpose.
