Sherry, when you give them a shower - how do you do it? Misting with a spray bottle, or do you take the tray and actually shower them in the shower, or .....? They always look so fresh and clean!

I shower them weekly in the tub, but I mist them daily too. I raise the lights though until things dry off, so the leaves don't get scorched.

Sherry is the precious little strawberry one you are keeping in the AG or are you going to transplant it? Is everything you have it in now, staying? Also, since you have such a variety growing, what do you have your settings on? I have both mine set on tomatoes and peppers. ~J

Yes JaNan, the strawberry is staying to grow in the system...and produce berries!!!
![]() Also yes, the plants that you see in my system now are the ones that will stay in there to mature. ![]() I have mine on the herb setting because the lights stay on the longest. They go off at midnight now and come back on at 6 am. I just changed my water and added some more nutrients. I also added some epsom salts and a couple Tum anti-acid tablets to dissolve and provide calcium. It can help with blossom drop on tomatoes and peppers and can be used in soil also. ![]() I bet next week they grow like crazy, after everything's been freshened. I enjoy watching the growth spurts after I feed them. Everything is just thriving for me now. ![]() : ) |

Re: My Aero~Garden...
Amazing you've got little tree sprouts JaNan. I love popping tree seeds too. That one you have there, that's standing up tall, is just adorable.
Those bells are ready to be separated. Everything looks terrific. The basil is already coming along for you too already. ![]() Here's my 'little blue' hot pepper plant, setting many buds now... ![]() The marble plant has two more blossoms that will open tomorrow. It's really thriving and getting ready to set fruits now also... ![]() I'm dying to harvest some of this... ![]() : ) |

Sherry, can you get a close up shot of that variegated one for me?
Boy, I would say the the Hot Marble Pepper is the perfect plant for the AeroGarden! That thing is so very pretty. Do you have a frontal shot of the two newly opened blooms? It's getting so wide! Is it shading your little strawberry? I just posted on the AG site this morning. I think they are interested in the unusual stuff that I am trying to sprout. Kinda like oh yeah we are way ahead of you with the peppers and mint, no big deal. But a banana seeds, and papaya, oh my!!! ![]() I just started a cherimoya seed in a pod this morning. We'll see how that goes! ![]() ~JaNan

I'll try to get a front shot JaNan, but there's a lot of branches so I hope they won't be blocking. It's such a compact plant that it's not shading my strawberry plant at all. I adore this plant JaNan!
Yup, I'll get a close up shot of the variegated type beside the two marbles in a pot, but I gotta go for an hour or so. Be back soon. Another variegated type showed up elsewhere but it's not from your seeds. Can't imagine what it is. Yeah, it's cool how impressed they all are by our stuff. Most of them just grow stuff from the aero-garden kits they purchase, so they're very impressed with our varieties. If those banana seeds pop, you'll be the aero-garden banana queen! ![]() See ya soon... : ) |

Re: My Aero~Garden...
See how fast that thing produces tomato buds, JaNan?!
I sent you and Cam seeds for it and I will be giving some to Dean as well. Soon I'll have many more seeds when I harvest a couple cherries. I know you'll enjoy this adorable, yet high-yielding variety. ![]() Yes, most of the marble pepper buds are set down in under the top layer of leaves. I can't wait to watch that one begin to grow. ![]() It seems like only yesterday that everything was just a seedling. It amazes me how quickly things develop and thrive in there. I can't wait to watch your marble seedling grow too JaNan. It's so fun watching each other's stuff like we do. Oh by the way, my little "thumbelina" dwarf zinnia is starting to branch out, just like the marble did. It will have many blooms, no doubt. You can see all the new leaves growing out of the nodes... ![]() My little marble plant is even producing buds down at the base of the plant too! Check it out...![]() : ) |

Yes, that is super fast! With it being so tiny, how big is the fruit Sherry? Does it need to be propped or anything? You know like a trellis? I think I have seen you say they are very tasty. I'm sure I will love it as much as you are the Marble peppers! That is another that produced buds quickly! That bud down at the base is too cute!
Since I skipped a day, I will post some pictures tomorrow. I really like us posting to this thread and the changes a day makes is really amazing. Almost like time lapsed photography! ![]() That little Thumbelina sure has taken off too! What color will the bloom be do you know? ~J

The tomato fruits are the size of regular cherry tomatoes, and yes sometimes the plant needs staking, but sometimes not. Yup, the fruits are tasty.
The thumbelina will be a surprise color, as it's from a mix. ![]() Looking forward to your shots tomorrow... : ) |

Oh and surprisingly I took all of the basil out of the system tonight...I'm bored with it.
I need something more exciting in there with the others. I'm going to sleep on it and decide what to put in there tomorrow. I may put in an already existing seedling from one of my windows, or start seeds for something else. I'm indecisive. I have a blue cornflower seed sprouting so I could grow that with the zinnia...not sure yet. I'll let you know tomorrow, but I might wait a couple days on pictures, except for the peppers of course... : ) |

Do you mean did I take my strawberry plant out, Tom?
Nope, it's staying to grow on and produce in the system. I just took the 2 kinds of basil out. I have tons of it growing in pots in my windows so I don't need to waste growing it in the A-G too, I decided. It was fun though but it's time for something more cool and exciting now. ![]() I'll let you guys know what I decide on... : ) |
