Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers

Thanks Pen...I sure love it too.

Here's a few shots I took about an hour ago:

Blake's Moonflowers about to bloom again, beside Bob's "Blue Princess" Hollyberry shrub...

Another part of my 60 foot long garden...

The smaller of my 2 "Amythest Beautyberry" shrubs is ripening beautifully...

I can never take enough pics...

Some of the blossoms have dropped on my "Gloria" vine and left behind tiny little green berries...

"French Vanilla" Hybrid marigolds and Basjoo...

My perennial "Mammoth Pink" Daisy Chrysanthemums are about to bloom...

Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers

No worries, Pen...I'll be splashing shots of those gorgeous Daisy-like mums just as soon as they begin to bloom...and you know it! :ha:

Last year they were wonderful but this year they look like they'll be incredible. They are three times the size they were last year...with a four foot spread!!!

: o

I fertilize them with a steady supply of Blood and Bonemeal and this is the reason for their success.

Yeah, the stuff is just incredible Penny and your mums will be massive...

Mine look like a 4 foot wide huge globe with about a thousand buds on it. I just can't wait to see it bloom...

Here it was last season, before I had the garden fully cut...

Wow, can you ever see how much smaller it was last season compared to this season! It's going to be spectacular! I love the Daisy-like blooms...

Here's some pics I took this morning:

My ornamental indoor peppers...

More ripening beautyberries this rainy morning...

More of my peppers from this morning and early evening...

This pic shows my "Patio" Tomato plant with it's first blossoms. This will be my indoor winter tomato plant. You can also see part of my garden through the window, up on the slight hill across the way...

Alright, I know I'm obsessed...

Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers

They look great, do you actually eat all these peppers? You should write a cookbook!

That mum is incredible , I've never seen one so large or with so many buds... what's your secret?

The Hollyberry Lady 09-04-2010 09:41 AM

Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers

Yes Bob...I actually do eat some of the peppers...the ones that taste good anyway. I freeze the extras to eat over Winter too.

My secret to such huge mums is steady and consistent fertilizing, which will make any plant massive.

Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers

I couldn't agree with Bob more on how gorgeous your pepper plants look...

No doubt, the orange one is my favorite.

My camera hasn't been working for a while. Otherwise, if I can show a picture of my ornamental pepper plant, you can see the HUGE DIFFERENCE.

Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers

Thanks Rae! I think we were posting at the same time.

I like the orange ones too...so colorful and cheerful looking. Peppers are one of my most favorite things to grow and I especially like to grow them in pots indoors. So easy and fun.

I hope to see shots of yours too, when you can...

Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers

You are more than welcome, Sherry.

Just like Howard, a new digital camera is what I need now. :)

The Hollyberry Lady 09-04-2010 12:57 PM

Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers

I'm thinking of buying another one just in case mine goes on the blink. I would die without my camera! :ha:

Had trouble rounding them all up at once, but here's some more of my peppers:

These ones ripen to a lighter orange than the other orange ones do...

These ones are shaped different than the others...

Good luck getting a new camera, Rae. You don't have to spend a fortune on one if you don't want to...even something simple and inexpensive from Wal-Mart will do the trick and take some pretty decent shots. My girlfriend picked one up for 6o bucks and it works great.

Thanks, Drew. Glad you're enjoying them. :03:

Here's shot of some fallen fruits that I didn't want to go to waste before I snapped a peek...
