Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers

Hey, thanks guys! :03: Nice of you to comment.

I think anyone with some good windows could do what I do and grow flowers inside as well. I like to grow plants that aren't typically meant for inside, in my living room...

Here's my ripening female Hollyberry shrub today! I can't wait until all of them are red...

Here too, is one of my hybrid African Daisy blooms in my garden...

My seed-grown Coleus is blooming in my garden today as well...

Here's my Tamarillo plant from this morning...

Sherry,

You dwarf pink Bottstein Hydrangea is absolutely adorable. I thank you for teaching us in the org all the "How to"s. Please continue your great efforts in writing the blogs or posting beautiful flower pictures of yours.

Some of us still have a lot to learn and a long way to go....

Thanks Rae!

A moment I've been waiting for...

Buds on my "Gloria" Solanum Seaforthianum vine!!! :goteam: This means that berries will soon follow! Yippppeeeeeee!

I gave you a cutting from my vine Bob, so yours should produce flowers and berries very soon too.

I'll show more shots later but was just excited to see this early this morning.

Looking great Hollyberry but, I think mine's a ways off from getting a bloom.
I'll post when it does though.

Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers

I disagree...

Once that thing gets going Bob, it'll produce some buds for you. It grows fast too, just give it a shot of fertilizer and lots of sun. What a cool vine. So attractive...

I am bursting to see the purple blossoms and the dangling clusters of berries...

Sherry,

Can't wait to see your beautiful Gloria Solanum Seaforthianum bloom in purple...

By the way, I recently visited your photo gallery and saw some prettiest tulips. You have shown us some great shots of your lilies in this thread, but I don't remember seeing photos of those tulips.

Such a YOUNG and ACCOMPLISHED gardener you are... Bravo!!!

Rae

Gosh, thanks Rae! :ha:

These were a quarter the size they are today about three weeks ago...my white & pink Pampas ornamental grass grown from seed. It takes a few years to establish as a perennial before it produces the colored plumes. Here's the white variety...

This is the pink one...

Newly planted Hollyberry shrub...

Tropical Pink Canna bud today in my garden...

2nd Hydrangea plant in bloom...

Sherry- love the Tillandsia (earth star). They're one of my favorites. I have one in my Butia capitata and one with my mandevillas for the summer.

All I know is that it's a Bromeliad, Jack. Not sure of the exact variety though, unfortunately.

I'd love to see pics of yours too, Howard. I bet they're stunning...

Re: The Hollyberry Lady's Plants and Flowers

Originally I thought this was a 25-30 foot long garden but I think it's more like a 50-60 foot one. Anyway, here is was this morning...

My Canna's are blooming today...

Solanum Seaforthianum "Gloria" vine blossoms opening...

They very much resemble pepper blossoms and when they drop, berries will be present...

Here's where I moved my "Magicberry" Holly shrub to...

Hope everyone's having a good Sunday. :bananas_b

Sherry- I gave you an incorrect name. It's actually Cryptanthus bivittatus, also known as Pink Starlight. Sorry about that.
