Hi all,
I got a seedling of papaya that is said to be anti frost/snow. Of course it is a mericlone seedling and the grower insists that it can endure -3C. I do doubt it, but I just try. |

There is a variety named "Sweet Sue" that is supposed to be more cold resistant than other Papaya varieties. I do not think it is frost hardy though.
If it is the "Sweet Sue" variety, I would love to get some seeds. |

Quote:
As it is a mericlone seedling, it only produces seeds that have the same DNA as its parents which are not cold hardy. Its cold hardiness will not be inherited to its next generations. |
