![]() Spinosad products really work...
Try using it again and then stick with it for a few months. Treat every plant in the grow area....over and over. I will take a few weeks before you see a decline. I you have used it in the past ...you should have a years worth left over if you have used it just a few times. |

For me it is difficult just like you......be persistent.... Separate your plant....maybe isolate in a bathroom shower...and treat.....a day later ....treat.....a day later treat Neem oil is a great barrier to keep a clean plant. The Best recommendations were in article in a previous post.....pick and choose what you can afford. Last edited by cincinnana : 09-18-2020 at 07:39 PM. |

![]() I may be a bit late to the discussion, but I tried showering, neem, soap, regular wiping etc. The one product that resolved the issue for me was GrowSafe which kills adults and eggs. It is non-toxic and all natural.
One bottle should last you forever (well, for a very long time) https://www.amazon.com/Bio-Pesticide...10&sr=8-1&th=1 |

![]() I'm curious if anyone, in this discussion, has actually looked with a handheld led microscope (10x-15x) to see if these are really spider mites. You need to be able to see how many eggs there are. And to be able to see if you are killing them with whatever spray you're using. You just can't see this with the naked eye...the 2 spot spider mites I have are translucent, and the nymphs are almost transparent. With the handheld microscope you can see their arms/legs waving around, you can count their spots (for identification). And most important, you can see how many are still alive(or newly hatched) a few days after the treatment...so you can judge when to repeat it.
It's very easy to kill spider mites with Safer Soap. But the eggs are another matter. I'd like to know of a non chemical treatment (such as horticultural oil, neem oil) that gives you a visually confirmed egg kill. Here are the handheld microscopes I've used for years: https://www.amazon.com/Grow-Room-Mic...9813551&sr=8-3 (it's not really 60x as claimed, more like 15x...but perfect for spider mites.) You can buy these at a discount hydroponic store for $5-10. also... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (Carson MicroMini Led Microscope) |

![]() I've always had very good luck with Forbid-4f. It kills every single spider mite in less than 24 hours, and it's systemic so it kills the babies when they come out too. And yes I have a microscope to confirm they are all dead.
It's ridiculously expensive in the size that they normally sell, so there is an entire cottage industry on ebay for people that buy the gallons and repackage it in vials of a few ml. A few ml. will last you all year and cost you ~$25. Wear a respirator and gloves, use common sense, and don't spray it on a plant that has fruit. --bob |

![]() re: Forbid-4f
Oh, and I've never had to spray more than once in a whole season. It takes care of them for months. |
