Hey all. I have two pups popping up in my potted banana plant and I'd like to ask for some advice on what to do. Should I leave both in, remove one, or remove both? Anything that I remove will be potted (I previously removed a pup from this banana when I up-potted at the beginning of the year and this pup is doing well on it's own.) The main plant is about ~4-5' tall. The biggest pup is almost 3' and the smallest pup is a little over 1'. I'm pretty sure that the plant has put roots into the ground.
And a final question, can anyone identify this banana? I received it from a CRFG exchange last year and it was labeled Ice Cream(?) Is it an Ice Cream or Namwah? Or something else? Thank you! |

Also looks it could use a bigger pot. Can you plant it in the ground?

Unfortunately, at this time I do not have a spot for it in the ground. Hopefully in the future I'll be able to put some in the ground.
I'll have to see about a bigger pot. |
