I was gifted what was called a baby banana tree last fall that did okay inside next to a big window in CT. Moved it outside into full sun and it seems to hate it! Leaves that were broad now skinny and lots of pale tan spots and drying off. I’m in CT so not a tropical environment so assumed it wouldn’t be too sunny. Is this over sun and under watering? Should I move it back inside or to a shady spot outside?

pics would help tremendously. depending on the type banana, most will do better with some shade during the day. especially in a pot. over watering in a pot that is not well draining is band also. a pot on concrete and sun all day long is a no/no, would cook the plant. hope this helps.

they look worse for a bit when they come outside but grow better once outside and adjusted looks a bit on the dry side in the pic |

I went to your profile and got the picture.
You need to acclimate it if you went from growing indoors and moved it outside. Put it somewhere where it won't get full sun the entire day. As it grows slowly introduce more sun. My 2 cents.
