![]() Hey all, new here. I ordered this "Veranda" banana tree from Fast Growing Trees. Overall pretty happy with the size and quality, even though it was leaning a lot. I potted it upright and am just wondering what the best fertilizer would be? their site says to use organic 10-10-10 but I don't think any 10-10-10 is organic lol. Have any of you tried the Wellspring Gardens Banana Fertilizer Fuel from Amazon?

![]() Hey all, so here is an update on this banana plant. I just moved it indoors recently after having it in sunny hot outdoor weather for the season. It's grown nice and big. I do have a question, as you can see some of the leaves are brown and dry on the edges, should I cut all of those off or can I leave them? I did cut a couple off from the bottom already but was worried about taking too many off.
Also, when I first purchased this from fastgrowingtrees, their info page said it will bear fruit the first year, now I see they changed that to 2 or 3 years lol. I'm not confident it will bear at all, but still hoping. Last edited by kradiohead : 10-18-2021 at 02:17 PM. |

![]() I got " veranda" from them to, along with someone i was talking with on facebook. our pots both said "veranda/double" so my assumption is it might just be a double mahoi.. i got it in spring 2020, has not fruited yet but it stays very short. I expect a flower (or 2 )spring next year.
Did your pot they sent it in also say double on it? |
