Default Help! Can I save this?

I've had this variegated banana for about a few months now. It's been growing pretty quickly but I noticed the growth was slowing down so I checked the roots and saw that most of the corm was gone. I removed all of the soft parts and only had a little left. I am letting the corm dry before repotting it. Any advice on how to save this plant?

cut rot off, plant in a free-draining mix and it'll be fine.
