![]() My dwarf namwah — well, it was sold to me as an ice cream, but that's what others think it is — has been doing well in a container in a sunny room, even without direct sunlight, for quite some time now. It's probably root bound, a bit, but has seemed healthy. It's about a year old, in well-draining cactus soil. I last fertilized...two+ months ago? And last watered with 3 quarts of water 2-3 weeks ago? It's been *very* hot for parts of summer, and *very* humid for all of it, here in Boston.
I noticed the leaves were drooping recently and went to go cut some off. I was surprised when the stem of the leaf felt swollen and mushy, and pulled apart as I pulled it off rather than coming away cleanly with the knife. I noticed a few black spots where the leaves met the pseudostem, and powdery white stuff, more than usual, around where old leaves had been. And again, this weird swollen-ness / puffiness that I haven't encountered before. Pics: https://imgur.com/a/wMQ9t3r e: i will say, this was *just* after i had watered it, I think, around 15 minutes later, if this is all just capillary action Last edited by Petey : 09-06-2021 at 04:21 PM. |
