Hiya What's the fastest your pups have pupped!?

Confusing title...? What's the fastest a banana pup you transplanted produced pups of its own!?

I transplanted this Orinoco water pup with little roots and no visible corm about 2 months ago and it's really only had about 6 weeks of growth after transplant shock recovery.

To top it all off, I didn't even bother using good compost and planted it in the cheapest topsoil I had available!

The pseudo stem is only 2" thick and 2ft tall and is 3ft at the leaves.

I do water it daily and have been fertilizing weekly so it has been growing nicely and seems very happy but I was still very surprised to see it pupped already!

Prolly a 1000 finger that pupped when it was only about a foot tall. It started off with a small coem, so that's probably why.

Wow only a foot tall! That's pretty crazy, but yeah if it had a small corm it already it makes sense.
Mine had no corm at all so that's why I'm surprised

It depends on a lot of factors such as variety, health of the parent, etc. Some naturally pup earlier in the life cycle, others not. Also, a transplant that is weak or shocked might pup quickly and then die out as a survival mechanism.

My Super Dwarf Cavendish pupped only a handful of months after I got it. Got it this January, and it pupped end of May/early June

(**Pups having pups, man, what is this world coming to?!**)
