gorgeous plant, but unless your 10a or further south, a bit tough to grow.

mine lasted 2 seasons.

i have not seen to many pics of people growing them in pots either.

unless your a very good gardener or experienced in growing bananas, i would not recommend it.

I've seen a bunch in pots but the person growing probably stored them in a garage during the winter w/ a small portable heater in there.. Go all you wanna be profound growers.. I'm not impressed by its grandor.. or what ever you prefer to call it.. Good Luck on that one..

Variegated Florida can be tissue cultured but the labs I speak with say the reversion rate is very high. Plus it's much cheaper and quicker to mass macropropagate the variegated Florida and avoid reversions.

These are all photos of variegated Florida

A Manini is an A'ea'e.

An A'ea'e is a Manini.

That is the A'ea'e/Manini I sent you for $20.

Manini is rolling out her last leaf and a cigar leaf is starting to come out, started the first day not bad for bare root. the pisang awak is also moving getting taller, cant wait.....[manini is on the right] the pisang awak is in the foreground.

also am adding the florida variegated you helped me out with 2 years ago that I almost lost from draught last year. [irrigation just doesn't keep up when its dry, had no roots when I dug her up]

may the bananas be with you.

floor me. i do not remember having a manini at all. guess i will have to go thru my pics to remember. thanks

EDIT; i lost the manini in the pot. i was attempting to use aquarium pebbles. one of the wifes critters walked by, or jumped over it and broke it.

great prices on those plants. thanks. and thanks for helping me remember one i had forgotten.
