Are these dark spots sunburn? I picked them up from a nursery the other day. They were in a green house at the time. I came home and put them outside in some shade. They do get a few hours of direct sun a day. Last edited by HulkSmash9798 : 09-15-2023 at 02:23 PM. |

![]() Hard for me to tell from the pics, but plants sold as truly tiny often have dark wine staining on the leaves. However, if you are seeing new dark spots on mature leaves, that sounds like a different animal.
Make sure you are protecting your black plastic pots from direct sun exposure for too long. Even a few minutes can cause the inside of the pot and adjacent soil to get very hot. Too long and that heat will radiate deep into the potting mix. Wrap it with something white or light colored or put it inside another pot with some insulation, i.e. ceramic, wood, or a bigger plastic pot with air space between the inner and outer pots

![]() Your plants have the signs of overfertilizing and excess heat.
Cut back on both and let your plant sort itself out in the shade for the rest of the season. |
