Default Slugs

Hi,
So have a little bit of an interesting one.
In my poly, my bananas have made it through most of the Uk winter. However, where the pseudo stem gives a new leaf . There’s a little stem before the leaf starts. It curvy in shade and is a nice little hiding hole for slugs. So there are slugs hiding in there pooping and eating my bananas plants. I’ve got them out manually with a pencil to get them out (I didn’t kill them Dw). Also it fills with water. Will it rot my banana stem?
Bit odd but any of you lot had this?
Thanks

Never had a problem like that. Try a little diatomaceous earth in that little pocket. For slugs & snails it is like walking on glass, but shouldn't hurt the banana.

I've never met a slug inside a banana tree, I think the banana tree is easy to live, it won't be affected much, I just see a very harmful worm for the banana tree.
