Hey guys I need some input
My Raja Puri sword pup I got 2.5 weeks ago is putting some good growth now
Unfortunately the 'original' cigar leaf it came with didn't open all the way and it looks like it's causing some issues.
One leaf already came out but is still partially stuck inside.
A big cigar is coming out now won't have any room to open like this.

Should I intervene and do something? Or should I let it sort itself out?

My goldfingers tend to do this when they switch from slow Spring growth to fast summer growth. The leaves just can’t get out of the way fast enough.


Usually takes care of itself in a few weeks.

It's on the ground now in 100 degree Texas heat and still growing

My RP pup did the exact same thing about 2 weeks after i put it in the ground.. it has since sorted itself out

When in doubt, do nothing. In most cases a plant will work out it's issues. Too much intervention is usually detrimental. As long as the newest leaf is healthy, let it be.
