You don't see many Verdin bunches!!! Your very lucky bro! You must have a half red/half green thumb! Lmao.

Thanks Ty bro!....

You are right!....There is only a handful of members/people currently growing the PR Verdin!....Vey rare 'Nana variety!.....In my growing conditions, PR Morado and PR Verdin, took almost 2 years from planting to flowering/blooming, then almost 4 months from flowering/blooming to harvest time!......I will follow on which one I like better!...

Half red/half green thumb!.....LMAO!......:ha:

*****PR Morado & PR Verdin taste report!*****

from left to right: A double PR Morado 'Nana & PR Verdin 'Nana!.....

PR Morado 'Nana......

PR Verdin 'Nana....

Woohoo!......PR Morado & PR Verdin are a very, very good 'Nana varieties!....I let both 'Nana varieties to get on the perfect stage of ripen, not to green, not to ripe (brown marks)....As I expected from the Red subgroup 'Nana varieties, the right sweetness, a creamy and firm 'Nana!.....Creamy on the outer layer getting firm in the inner section!.....A very small hint of tartness!.....I considered both 'Nanas, a much, much better in taste than a Cavendish or a Namwah 'Nana varieties!......

The winner is!......Is a draw!......No winner in the taste contest!....LOL!......Both 'Nana varieties are very similar in taste!...Equally awesome taste for both!....Definitely up there with the best!....

I always wondered why the PR Verdin 'Nana when it's put up to a 'Nana contest, always come, as one of the best 'Nana varieties in taste!.....Also, has been mentioned before, with years, the PR Morado can mutate to a PR Verdin!.....I think that is a factor of the similarity in taste!.....

Thanks for seeing/following the thread!.....:2723::bananarow::2723:

Wow! Thank you for updating all of us who can't grow these super long cycle amazing red bananas! Seriously made me hungry for a good banana. Unfortunaly I have to eat this cavendish closing my eyes and pretending it's a PR Verdin.

Seriously thank you so much for taking the time to give a report on this crazy rare variety! I doubt 5 people in the US grow the PR Verdin. Amazing to actually see fruit from it!!

Nice double :woohoonaner:

They are both in the Red subgroup.

I've never had a green to red but red to green is very common.

Thanks for the great pics Hector bro
