Tigua (Kumunamba) opened 9 hands so far!.....A big bunch!....:08:


As the study/evaluation done years ago (Evaluation Of New Banana Germplasm In South Florida) and some experienced forum members suggest, Tigua (Kumunamba) is one of the best to grow in South Florida!....no doubts!.....

The purple ones are The PR Morado!.....They are part of The Red Subgroup Family banana varieties (PR Morado, Tall Red, Dwarf Red, Jamaican Red, Cuban Red, etc.)....

Woohoo!.....I finally harvested my first PR Morado and PR Verdin bunch yesterday, August 17, 2017....Both bunches has been fill-in very nicely!....Look at the size of the 'Nana fingers!.....

Curious to hear what you think of the taste of the two types of reds. I prefer the green reds.

Wow that is amazing to have both of them at the same time! I can't wait to hear which you like better! How long was planting to harvest? I've read both have extremely long cycles!

You don't see many Verdin bunches!!! Your very lucky bro! You must have a half red/half green thumb! Lmao.
