Default Need help with banana plant selection

Hello,

I am new to the world of bananas and need some help from those who know. I would like some suggestions on what banana plants to plant in my back yard. I live in NW Dade county in South FL.

I also would like to know if I need more than one to produce fruit.

What are you looking for? Fruiting, ornamental, plantain variety? Most likely any variety will grow in your area. A fool proof beginner variety that produces delicious fruit is the Namwah.
