Default Fruiting Ae Ae

For only the second time in the ten years I've been growing Ae Ae, I have gotten it to fruit. This one has 9 hands of fruit. Now all I have to hope for is no hurricanes this year.

Very nice! I myself have always been tempted to get myself an Ae Ae, go through the challenge of growing it out here, and seeing for myself if the fruit are worth it. The plant and its fruit are gorgeous, but I'd love to think the fruit are worth it. Even if they're store-bought quality in flavor, that's okay with me. Just as long as they aren't truly cardboard in flavor, or tart.

What area are you in? If you are on the 'mainland' you can get them easier from Florida.

Thought I'd provide an updated picture. I am surprised at the rapid growth over the last 3 weeks.

Thanks Brent. We were on vacation the weekend that the forecasters were trying to figure out where she would go and for a day or so, they were forecasting Debbie to head to Lake Charles. However, she still graced us with her presence since I was on the Alabama gulf coast very near Pensacola. The first 3 days of vacation were very, very windy.
