Default Are Grass Clippings OK?

Just got throught cutting the lawn here at the Ponderosa, in Liazard Creek.

Wondering if mulching my nanna's with all of the lush green lawn clipping gathered up in my grass catcher would make good mulch for my plants?

Thanks in advance!

Snook

I have been using St Augustine type grass clippings with good success for the last 10 years, the more the better!

With the rain you are getting or about to get there should be a lot of clippings to mulch with. Not sure how grass clippings can germinate, seems that a piece of grass has very little chance of becoming more grass. Good growing and stay dry but as stan says "get the hands dirty".

St Aug is fine to use as a mulch. I've used it for years on bananas and palms with fantastic success. Mulch away!

Grass clippings will germinate. Stolons are used in place of seed .

Clippings are portions of the grass leaf and do not contain the node necessary for plant formation.
