Dwarf Red had a hard time surviving So Cal Winter
But it made it just barely!
1000 year rains here and dumb me didn't protect it. I thought it was toast, trimmed it a few times, thought it was toast again. Then after no new growth decided to really chop it down. I found some green in the middle! Now it's growing and has a pup coming off the side! I got really lucky! Thanks Bill, aka Best Day. I think it's going to thrive once planted in ground! |

Re: Dwarf Red had a hard time surviving So Cal Winter
I’m glad to see it survived. My big plant lost about 50% of its leaves and looks really sad. But it has now started to grow and will look good soon. It should flower soon also. At my house it was the coldest winter in 50 years and an amazing amount of rain. So over all a very harsh winter for tropical plants.

For me that plant is one of the first to respond negatively to cool weather and shortened days.
But once it warms up the plant is a beast. Good luck with yours you're going to like it. |
