Default Do your mat maintenance!

So I put in one small Blue Java (yes, the real one) 3 years ago. I didn’t remove pups, just let them grow. Mistake. The matt is HUGE. I now have spent hours digging, cutting, chopping, more digging to take them out. The corm(s) are huge, heavy, and deep. I should have managed it better by removing pups along the way. Now I have 2 dozen + corms, a dozen or so small pups (I chopped up the bigger plants). Some are bigger than basketballs… 20,30, 40 lbs. each. I now am moving on to the Saba; this time I’m gonna hire neighborhood kid to dig it. My back is shot.

Making room for Sweetheart and Dwarf Red.

Wow, sorry about your back. I was just drooling over those extra Blue Javas. Im a bit jealous, lol. I always have very many Bassjoo. This year I had to dig up the corms. Almost filled the back of my short bed truck.
Hope you recover.
