Default Help, I think my banana tree is dead!

Hi all,

See pic, can someone help me understand what’s going on with one of my stalks?
It’s been in the same spot of a year, maybe too close to a window and the cold Michigan air is bothering it? Watering patterns never changed, food is in the soil. What’s going on?

This plant?

May be a little cool for it that close to the window. With below zero F temps here it gets around 50ºF in the basement and I have a Double (Mahoi) that looks the same. I put it in a warmer room for now.

Are you able to scrap that black area off with your fingernail? If yes, then that looks like sooty mold. Possibly Anthracnose. Treat the leaves with Neem oil or copper fungicide. How humid is the area that this is in?
