![]() I have 2 sets of banana trees that look alike but I know one is the Blue Java. I have another that looks almost identical to the Blue Java. But the one that is not the blue Java has a bigger pseudostem then the Blue Java. What could it be? I was thinking a Nam Wah, but not a Dwarf cause it's around 8 ft.

![]() If you purchased your "ice cream" at a FL nursery, odds are very good it is not a Blue Java; I've been offered them several times but I already have a Namwah. Heck, if someone gave you a pup from their yard it may still not be what they think. (Where do you think they obtained their plant?)
Do post pictures; there are a few members with the real thing who should be able to verify what you're growing.

![]() Namwah and Ice Cream have different color pseudostems. Obviously, they will be obvious after they fruit. Many IC plants for sale are Namwah, which isn't a terrible problem to have even though it isn't what you wanted.

![]() Dwarf Namwah can easily get 8-10'. But it's probably not Dwarf, as they don't seem to be as common as taller Namwahs.
